Special Alert: Adding a UPS call option play to the mix

KEY POINTS FROM THIS ALERT:

After assessing the growing list of 2017 holiday shopping forecasts this morning, we published in the Tematica Investing service a boost to our price target for UPS Shares on the Tematica Investing Select List. The increase was to a new price target of $132, up from $122, and comes as Wall Street analysts are finally coming around to seeing the full impact of the Connected Society investment theme we’ve been sharing with you for years now here at Tematica.  You can read the full details by clicking here.

As you will see when you review these forecasts, the one consistency is for continued share gains by e-commerce or as we like to call it digital shopping as it once again grows faster than traditional brick & mortar retail.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll get additional forecasts for the period, and there is a high probability that share gain forecast will be echoed. That means a pickup in activity at UPS as we head into the heady part of the holiday shopping season, and most likely bullish comments for UPS shares as well as price targets moving higher.

That’s why we’re adding the United Parcel Service (UPS) Jan 2018 130.000 call (UPS180119C00130000) that closed last night at 0.73 to the Tematica Options+ Select List. The timeline captures not only the holiday shopping season, ut post-holiday sales as well. We would be buyers of these calls up to $1.00, and as we add this position to the fold, we’ll set a stop loss at 0.30, but odds are we will look to scale this position if the calls approach that level.
